Fortune.com

Not everyone fancies the website Fortune.com, the online presence of Fortune Magazine, a sub-pub of Time Magazine. Google the website’s URL itself and one of the top options on the automatic drop-down, as Google tries to guess your search terms, is “fortune.com bias.” Of course, claims of bias amongst news media today are as common as grains of salt, and so that’s precisely how I take that.

What I fancy about Fortune.com as a repository of both concrete information and speculative perspective is that the publication is apt and adept at presenting each, with journalistic chops and stylistic flair.

Just check out this variety of recent pieces from the site: JK Rowling talking about Johnny Depp cast in one of her movies - fortune.com/2017/12/08/johnny-depp-jk-rowling-fantastic-beasts-cast; Greg Norman taking the golf cart into the next generation - fortune.com/2017/12/08/greg-norman-shark-experience; Macy’s upping its game in the increasingly high-volume beauty and cosmetics market – See this piece with Barry Beck; the meteoric ascendency of Bitcoin over just a few tumultuous days (while other alt-cryptocurrencies flounder) - fortune.com/2017/12/07/bitcoin-competitors-price.

Good writing and substantive content is what I see. Bias? That’s the sort of thing one tends to see whether it’s actually there or not.
